Martin Luther King Jr. House, popularly known as MLK House, is one of the prominent houses in Kisubi High School. The house boasts high motivation and inspiration from its icon Martin Luther King Jr, a great leader of all time, who made an indelible mark in history. Our house colour is yellow. MLK house has been excelling in athletics, drama, sports, debate and quiz. At the beginning of 2018, we set our gaze on winning this years’ Music Dance and Drama competitions just like in 2017. This would have to put us on the school shield since the House had actually done well in other activities especially debate. This was surely achieved.

I am very grateful to be given the chance of representing Wangari Mathai House of Kisubi High School as a patron. The house picked up its name from a Kenyan environmentalist Wangari, whose effort to preserve the environment was so paramount. Since the inception of the house system in 2016, Wangari House has been outstanding in sports, MDD and debate. In Wangari House we have a motto; ‘’SUCCESS IS NOT A RIGHT BUT A CHOICE’’. We combine strength with the opportunities surrounding us to overcome both the weakness within us and the challenges that come our way.

Malala House is a house with teamwork, patriotism and well equipped students who are always ready to do whatever it takes to be outstanding. ‘’It always seems impossible until it is done.’’ The great father of our beloved continent, late Nelson Mandela made use of the above quote. The gallant blue House’s icon has inspired us over the years that ‘’Championship’’ is part of us. We are the 2016 overall champions and 2017 Interhouse Chess Champions. The power of personal improvement has remained part of our learners ever since, that they draw a parallel between good and evil.
